One church cannot reach a city by itself

AN INVITATION FROM OUR LEADER

We want our church to be a launch pad for sending people out on the mission God has for them.

The goal of FBC Melbourne has never been to get a big crowd of people together and keep them here huddled together in one place. Our prayer is that people would meet Jesus here, grow as disciples here, and discover the mission God has for them.

Founded in 1921 by a group of 20 faithful men and women, FBC Melbourne has grown to a large community of commited believers. We average around 1,500 people on campus each weekend, and are commited to the mission God has for us to “Make disciples here and everywhere
for the glory of God”.

In the next 10 years, we aim to launch…

10 churches
100 ministers / missionaries
1,000 leaders
10,000 disciples

This is not something we can do on our own. This is a God-sized goal. We want to equip everyone in the church for this goal through helping people DISCOVER who God has made them to be, TRAINING them to be equipped for the task, and LAUNCHING them out on mission with King Jesus.

Discover:

Helping people understand who God has made them to be and connect that to the mission He has for them.

Train:

Equipping people for the mission He has for their life through things like Aspire, our seminary training program, our Internship program, LEAD Training, Church Planting Training, and Missions Training.
