Marriages are filled with many incredible blessings but also some very difficult challenges. To navigate these challenges it is important to have Christ at the center of the marriage. His word provides a strong Biblical foundation. Our desire is to foster a nurturing community designed to encourage, equip and build Christ-centered marriages.
This ministry provides three areas of help for your marriage.
Marriage Mentoring, Pre-Marital Counseling, and Marital Counseling
MARRIAGE MENTORING
Marriage mentoring is one couple investing in another. It is a 6-10 week mentorship designed to encourage, disciple, and provide tools to navigate life’s ups and downs. Each of our mentor couples are Christians who embrace the beliefs and faith of FBC Melbourne.
The fee for the online diagnostic survey is $50 per couple. Your payment will cover the cost of the material and the online survey you will be required to take. Please contact Doug@fbcmel.org if you are in need of financial assistance.
PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING
Congratulations on your engagement! We are very excited to walk beside you during this exciting time in your life. Our pre-marital counseling is designed to help you establish a strong Biblical foundation for a healthy marriage. During our time together, we will look at many different topics and discover practical tools to help your marriage thrive. MARITAL COUNSELING
While a great blessing and a gift from God, marriage can sometimes be filled with many difficult challenges. These challenges can become overwhelming and can often lead to a time of crisis. We are here to help and walk with you as a couple as you seek God’s best for your marriage.
As a first step, one of our pastors will meet with you for a discovery meeting. This initial meeting will help us understand what is the best course of action moving forward, which may include one or more of the following recommended resources: continued meetings with a pastor, being paired with a marriage mentor couple from our church family, or depending on the need, being referred to a trusted Christian counselor in the area.
