John 17:20-26 | When Jesus Prayed For You!
Dr. Scott Wilson

On the night before the cross, Jesus prayed—for you. In John 17, often called the High Priestly Prayer, Jesus looked beyond His disciples in the upper room and prayed for all who would one day believe through their word. That means He prayed for us.

What did He pray? Above all, He prayed for our unity. Not a shallow or superficial oneness, but a deep, Spirit-given unity rooted in the truth of the gospel. And He prayed this for a reason—because our mission depends on it. When the church lives as one, the world sees the love of Christ on display.

In this final message of The Talk Before the Tree series, Dr. Scott Wilson unpacks Jesus’ prayer for His people and reminds us that our unity is precious to Christ, pivotal for our mission, and perfected in eternity.
